Role Overview

As Digital Content & Engagement Lead, you will drive Somtico’s digital presence across all platforms. You’ll lead the creation and execution of engaging content strategies, collaborate with vendors and designers to bring their work to life online, manage community engagement, and track performance analytics to grow brand visibility and sales.

This is a remote, full-time role requiring creative energy, analytical thinking, and a strong passion for African fashion and digital storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Strategy

• Create high-quality, engaging product videos, reels, and visual content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
  
• Develop and manage a digital content strategy aligned with Somtico’s brand and mission.
  
• Manage and optimize paid ad campaigns on Meta, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
  
• Write creative captions, taglines, and scripts tailored to African fashion consumers.
  
• Coordinate with designers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and publishing of content.
  

Vendor & Influencer Collaboration

• Engage with vendors to co-create content and advise them on best practices for social media.
  
• Identify and collaborate with influencers and brand ambassadors to promote visibility.
  

Community Management

• Monitor and respond to DMs, comments, and tags across all social platforms.
  
• Build and nurture an online community around the Somtico brand.
  
• Launch campaigns and challenges that increase customer and vendor engagement.
  

Analytics & Performance

• Use analytics tools to track content performance and campaign effectiveness.
  
• Provide monthly reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
  
• Continuously refine strategy based on trends and data insights.
  

Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Work closely with internal staff to align on messaging, visuals, and promotional goals.
  
• Train other team members on content tools, engagement strategies, and digital best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
  
• 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, social media strategy, or content creation.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  
• Experience managing brand accounts on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
  
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools, content scheduling platforms, and ad management systems.
  
• Ability to work independently, remotely, and meet content deadlines.
  
• Passion for African fashion, storytelling, and global audience engagement.

• Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Professional Certificate
  
• Meta Blueprint Certification in content strategy or advertising
